Abstract

A “minor” poet from the Presença generation, Francisco Bugalho
distinguishes himself by the Bucolic feeling that marks all his work.
The present study tries to situate this particular kind of bucolic writing
in the 20th century Portuguese poetry.
Everything points to a close relationship between Poetry and Life, both
being marked by an unusual attitude of discretion and renouncement.
