Teaching and researching translation in dissimilar contexts: processes and dialogues

Abstract

This work proposes the report of pedagogical experiences in translation,
in two quite different socio-educational contexts. On one hand, literary
translation activities carried out within the scope of the Language course
(qualification in Spanish and its respective Literatures), at Federal
University of Santa Maria, southern Brazil. On the other hand,
pedagogical translation tasks carried out with Portuguese language
students at Facultad de Traducción e Interpretación at Universidad de
Granada, Spain. The activities of which results are presented were carried out based on children and youth stories by the Brazilian author
Erico Verissimo (1905-1975), according to the theoretical assumptions
of Moya (1993), De Arriba García (1996), Igareda (2011) MonteiroPlantin (2012), Pintado (2012), Franco-Axeilá (2013), García Benito
(2019), among others.
